AkaroaNZ has been provided and branded for the Banks Peninsula area. People and business’s who wish to associate themselves with the “Akaroa” area will appreciate the distinction of having Akaroa as part of their E-mail address.

For those people who have seen this service but prefer to not have this association with Akaroa should consider Eweb. Our alternative site Eweb is nation-wide and offers users the same fast and reliable service.

Both AkaroaNZ and Eweb have anti virus and spam control.

Teldave Communications has installed a test wireless network into the Akaroa area. Most of the Akaroa township is covered with parts of other areas included.

The network has been designed with further expansion capabilities catered for. Already Wainui and parts of Duvauchelle have coverage.
It is expected that the standard 1Mbps connection will cost $500 to install an aerial and radio reciever and the monthly rental will be $50 +gst. These costs are very reasonable for this type of service and the rental will be used to expand the network. It is expected that monthy rentals will reduce with time to reflect the numbers who have joined the service.
